You may qualify for a clinical research study in one of our research clinics.

Clinical research efforts are directed towards promoting oral health and sharing our resources and ideas to improve the quality of life of the general population. Simply put, they help us translate our research into patient care and the volunteers who participate make it possible for this to occur. When you participate in clinical research, you help bring new techniques, tools and treatments to dental practices worldwide.

All clinical studies must go through a rigorous approval process through an institutional review board before they are opened to the public. A principal investigator, who is often a medical doctor or dentist, leads the study. A research team may include dentists, hygienists, and other health care professionals.

As a clinical trial volunteer, you may be paid for your time and participation in the study. Payments vary from study to study, depending on its length and type. Also, some if not all of your treatment costs may be covered if performed as part of the study.
