I really love the culture at UAB. The students really care about each other, and everyone helps each other out. The biggest things I was looking for in a dental school were the clinical exposure and the student atmosphere, and UAB has both.

What's been so valuable is we were able to go into the clinic within weeks of starting here. The faculty has been incredible. They'll tell you what you need to work on, but then they'll sit down with you and help show you how to do it. That just blew me away.

There are lots of very helpful faculty here who want to mentor and teach you. They take the time to help you learn and get the training you need so you can be an independent investigator down the road. There's a lot of strong teamwork.
