Taskstream serves as the UAB School of Education data management system where a variety of candidate assessments are collected for analysis to support continuous program improvement. Taskstream is mandatory for all students undergoing teacher preparation. As a student, you are responsible for registering for your Taskstream account, self-enrolling in a program portfolio and submitting your work in a timely manner.

Registration and Enrollment

The School of Education has an agreement with Watermark to provide all students enrolled in an education preparation program a free subscription to Taskstream. As you begin your program you will be provided with a registration key and portfolio self-enrollment code. Before you can use the enrollment code to gain access to your program portfolio you must first register your new account and activate your subscription. To activate your subscription you will need to visit the Taskstream website to create an account and enter your subscription key.

Once you have registered for Taskstream you will need to log in and self-enroll in a program. To self-enroll, you will to have your self-enrollment code available and follow the steps in the document below.

Uploading and Submitting Work

If you are enrolled in a course that has a key assessment you will be required to submit your completed assignment in Taskstream for your course instructor to evaluate. This will be indicated on the course syllabus provided by the course instructor at the start of the semester. To locate the area for submitting your assignment, enter your portfolio, select the course area, and then select the correct assessment. Please consult your instructor if you are unsure where you should submit a key assessment.

If you have been admitted into a dual certification program you will be enrolled in a portfolio for each certification area and will be responsible for submitting in both portfolios.
