Will Hampton serves as an Instructional Technologist with the Division of eLearning and Professional Studies (eLearning). In his role as an Instructional Technologist, Will assists in training faculty, creating instructional guides for UAB educational technologies, and providing technical support for UAB’s academic technologies. Will came to eLearning from UAB College of Arts and Sciences Information Technology department where he provided front line IT support for UAB faculty, staff, and students. Will is also the part-time Information Technology Specialist for the UAB Cancer Center Mass Spectrometry and Proteomics Shared Facility where he provides disaster recovery and supports the Lab Information Management System.

Will has a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. He is also a Microsoft Certified Associate and an Apple Certified Technician. He is fluent in several programming and scripting languages. He is currently working towards a SSCP cybersecurity certification from ISC2.
