Leaving the military and preparing to return to the civilian construction industry after almost eleven years, I knew that I would need to retool my construction knowledge to be competitive for employment. The CEM program offered the online flexibility that I needed, and it covered the current relevant course material. I now have new tools and resources to help face the challenges required in the construction industry.

We are proud of our alumni and their academic accomplishments. Every year, a survey is emailed to our Construction Engineering Management (CEM) graduates. If you are part of the CEM family and would like to participate in the next survey, we need your current contact information. Please take the time to update your information!

The alumni survey data helps us to stay connected, lets us know your current employment field, how the knowledge gained from the curriculum has benefited your career, and allows alumni to share successes of a promotion or job advancement. Fifty-eight CEM alumni answered our most recent alumni survey and the results are shown below.

  • 100% of graduates agreed that participation in CEM improved their technical skills, including accounting and finance, project management, software, standards and regulation, and generally the ability to solve complex problems.
  • 20% of graduates' annual income increased by more than 50% since beginning CEM. Almost 35% saw their annual income increase by 21-50%.
  • 86% of graduates claim to have been successful in acquiring related employment or job advancement, or in being accepted for further graduate or professional study as a result of their experience in the CEM program.
  • More than 96% of graduates agree that CEM was a great benefit.
