My focus is on helping engineers become successful in industry and in their own entrepreneurial ventures. I have assisted many engineers (and non-engineers) start successful companies – many as spin-offs of the Information Engineering and Management program. I spend a lot of my time helping individuals and companies find strategic alignment – or put more simply, find how to focus on what they do best so they can enjoy their work and while prosper doing that work.

Research Interests
Today I do not have a specific research interest. As an engineer and being industry focused, I just like to solve problems. This sometimes includes working with technology, but sometimes the problems are business or people problems. Either way, I like seeing challenges be overcome.
My technical interests have been in embedded systems, position sensing through vision and motion tracking, artificial intelligence and machine learning, wireless, and telecommunications.
