Faculty may attend the Zoom meeting as a guest- please refer to the email you receive from your school’s Faculty Senate Liaison for the Zoom link and information. The agenda will be posted on the Faculty Senate website prior to the meeting. Click on the white button labeled “Meeting Minutes & Agendas” and follow the important log-in instructions.

During the meeting, faculty have the opportunity to indicate their questions, input, faculty advice, concerns, ideas, feedback, etc., by texting a member of the Faculty Senate Executive Committee– their cell phone number will be posted in the chatbox, at the (Zoom) meeting. Alternatively, you may utilize the “raise your hand” Zoom feature to be recognized to speak, by the Faculty Senate Chair.

Agenda (Items and Order Subject to Change):

  • The Faculty Senate will host Rosie O’Beirne, Chief Digital Strategy & Marketing Officer, as she presents "Options for Research and Clinical Trials, Marketing and Recruitment Needs, and UAB Brand Refresh Update ". Also to present will be Dr. Scott Phillips, Vice Provost for Innovative Teaching and Academic Engagement and QEP Director, to discuss the upcoming 2025 QEP. Scott will provide an update on the QEP timeline, and the topic selection process, provide resources, and let faculty know how they can provide feedback. Lastly, Dr. Sarah Culver, Curriculum Committee Chair, will provide an overview of the approved changes from the Academic Calendar Committee.
