The Oracle Administrative System is an integrated suite of Human Resources (HR) and Finance (FN) modules used by the University of Alabama at Birmingham for administrative operations and record keeping. The self-service responsibility is available to all employees, providing access to their personal employment and payroll information. HR and FN responsibilities are available to organization administrators, providing access with heightened security and control over area-specific information. The Oracle system and its respective database are frequently referred to collectively as “Oracle.”

Oracle HR Updates

JULY 2021: The UAB Report Viewer will be moved into the UAB Oracle HR & Finance system. The new version of the Report Viewer will have a view similar to the current application and will be made available to all UAB employees.

JULY 2021: Two new HR reports are available in Oracle HR — HRUAB Ludicrous Report and HRUAB Basic Report. For more information on these and other ad hoc reports, visit the UAB Report Viewer page.

For assistance with using the Oracle Administrative Systems, UAB HR offers the following:

  • For employees who do not have access to a computer on the job site, the HR Service Center is located on the first floor of the Administration Building. HR and Payroll staff are available to provide assistance with employee Self Service responsibilities weekdays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
