Attend Discover UAB

Details:- See hire letter from UAB Recruitment Office with assigned date.

ONE Card Application
Deadline:
First day
Details:- See Taleo Task List for instructions.
- Visit uab.edu/onecard for more information.
- Mark complete in Taleo Task List.

Complete Section 2 of I-9
Deadline:
Must be completed no later than 3 business days after the first day of work. Instructions will be provided once Section 1 is complete.
Details:- Bring in two forms of ID to complete Section 2 of I-9. Click here for a List of Acceptable Documents for Form I-9 Completion.
- Legal name must be used and a street address (no P.O. boxes) must be provided.
- You will receive detailed instructions for completing Section 2 once you have been assigned the Taleo Task List.

Complete self-identification forms

Within 7 days of start date
Details:- Access forms in Taleo Task List (must have BlazerID and password).
- Mark complete in Taleo Task List.

Complete your UAB Learning System assignments
Deadline:

Details:- Log in (BlazerID and password required)
- * These courses are assigned based on your job role/job duties. Each will have different completion requirements.

Set up your direct deposit
Deadline:
First day
Details:- Log in to Oracle HR & Finance (must have BlazerID and password).

Complete your tax forms

Details:- Log in to Oracle HR & Finance. (Must have BlazerID and password.)
- Visit UAB Financial Affairs online for information on completing federal and state tax forms.

Complete your benefit elections
Deadline:
Within 30 days of start date
Details:- Log in to UAB for Me portal (must have BlazerID and password).
- Select benefits and complete enrollment.
- Mark complete in Taleo Task List.

Sign up for parking if needed
Deadline:
Within 7 days of start date
Details:- Taleo Task List will provide instructions regarding parking, including an application — this can be printed and delivered to Parking & Transportation Services when signing up. A ONE Card is required.
