  • Wear Red Day 2026

    On Friday, February 6, 2026, dress in red and join people across the country to be seen, to be counted and to be heard — together, we are stronger than heart disease and stroke.

    Gather your department and participating colleagues or post a selfie on social media, tagging @uab_employee_wellness on Instagram or /UABHR on Facebook, or submit your photo to Employee Wellness using the online Wear Red Day Photo Submission Form.     Stress Management for Heart Health

    Wednesday, February 18, noon to 1 p.m.
    Chronic stress is linked to increased blood pressure, inflammation, and a higher risk of heart disease. Join EACC Lead Counselor Kathryn Jones for a presentation to learn what stress is, how it affects the body, and practical ways to manage and prevent it. Attendees will also learn how to create a personalized action plan to better cope with stress in their daily lives.

    Physical activity and exercise are powerful tools to optimize heart health.
