Alabama-based small businesses who have an active Phase I or Phase II Federal Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) or Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) grant are now eligible to apply for up to $250,000 in supplemental non-dilutive funding from Innovate Alabama.
The organization is currently accepting applications for its Supplemental Grant Program at the Innovate Alabama website.
Small businesses with a Phase I SBIR or STTR grant are eligible to apply for 50 percent of their award, up to $100,000. Those businesses with Phase II grants are eligible to apply for 50 percent of their award, up to $250,000.
According to the Innovate Alabama website, funds can be used for new hires, business plan development, product testing, market research, intellectual property protection or technical work.
The application deadline is Feb. 26, 2026.
