Who is eligible for free Adobe Creative Cloud?

All UAB students are eligible for a free Adobe Creative Cloud license. A limited number of licenses are available for faculty and staff who need Creative Cloud for academic or business purposes.

I am a student. How can I access Adobe Creative Cloud?

If you are a student, simply visit adobe.com, click “sign in” in the upper left-hand corner, click “sign in with an Enterprise ID” and enter your BlazerID@uab.eduemail address and password. (NOTE: Make sure your email address uses your BlazerID, not your alias if you have one.) Then you will be taken to the UAB single sign-on page and can log in with your BlazerID and 2-factor authentication.

I am a faculty or staff member. How can I access Adobe Creative Cloud?

Request Creative Cloud through the Tech Help portal if you have a legitimate academic or business need. Instructions for accessing Creative Cloud will be sent to you if you are approved. UAB IT will be assessing the demand to determine campus needs in the future.

I’m leaving UAB soon. Will I still have access to my Creative Cloud account?

Students will have a 180-day grace period to continue using Adobe Creative Cloud after leaving the University. Faculty and staff will have a 30-day grace period to continue using Creative Cloud and/or Acrobat after leaving the University.

I already have a UAB-provided Adobe Creative Cloud or Acrobat license. What do I need to do?

For now, nothing. UAB IT will provide more information about your license. For those with an AdobeID, you will continue to log in with the AdobeID, not an enterprise ID (BlazerID).

What if I have an AdobeID login?

If your account is tied to your UAB BlazerID@uab.edu email address, the first time you log in to Adobe with the enterprise ID option, you may be presented with an offer to migrate your current Creative Cloud assets. Choose yes. If you do not choose yes, you will have to move your files manually.

Who is eligible for free Adobe Acrobat?

All faculty and staff are eligible for a free Adobe Acrobat license. Students will already have access to Adobe Acrobat through their Creative Cloud license.

How to install Adobe Acrobat

If you are on a Windows operating system and are a UAB IT Desktop-supported customer, Adobe Acrobat will be available by default in your SCCM and Creative Cloud will be available once your request is approved.

Do I have access to Adobe cloud storage?

If you have Creative Cloud, you can store design and photography files in your Creative Cloud account. If you have Adobe Acrobat, you will not have access to Adobe Document Cloud, but you can use the approved UAB cloud storage methods, OneDrive and UAB Box. Creative Cloud storage is different from Document Cloud.

What is the difference between Creative Cloud and Acrobat?
