Which software is best for your needs?

UAB offers free Adobe Acrobat to all faculty, staff and students. Students also receive Adobe Creative Cloud free. Adobe Creative Cloud licenses are available by request for faculty and staff.

Get started

Licenses for students using Creative Cloud and all UAB users using Acrobat Reader will be automatically granted while you are enrolled or employed at UAB. Faculty and staff must request a license for Creative Cloud.

To get started, visit adobe.com and click "Sign In." Use your This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. (do not use an alias) and password. Select "Company or School Account." Then you will be taken to UAB's Single Sign On page. In the top right corner, you can see your available apps and begin to set up the desktop apps on your machine.

Adobe Firefly (AI Tool)

UAB users who have access to Adobe Creative Cloud will also be able to utilize Adobe Firefly , a suite of generative AI tools. When using any AI tool, refer to UAB's AI principles and guidelines .

  • Students have free access to Adobe Firefly through Creative Cloud, with a limited number of Creative Cloud licenses available for faculty and staff. See the links above to request Creative Cloud.
  • Adobe Firefly pulls from Adobe Stock images, along with public domain materials and open licensed sources.
  • Content Credentials may be applied to some creations from Firefly.
