U.S. News & World Report (USNWR) recently ranked UAB Hospital as the best hospital in Alabama, naming several of its specialties as top-ranking in the nation. UAB Hospital’s diabetes and endocrinology specialty was ranked as high performing, the highest classification.

Tanya Pierre, a fourth-year graduate student in the lab of Chad Hunter, Ph.D., was featued in the July issue of the Endocrine Society's magazine Endocrine News.  The article,"Sweet Homeostasis Alabama: Q&A with Tanya Pierre" highlights her research and National Institutes of Health (NIH) Ruth L. Kirschstein National Research Service Award Individual Predoctoral Fellowship (F31).
