The Deep South Resource Center for Minority Aging Research (RCMAR) invites Letters of Intent to apply for one-year pilot grants focusing on minority aging and health disparities in the African American population.

The Letter of Intent (LOI) is due by Wednesday, November 17, 2021. Letters responsive to this call for proposals and potentially competitive for funding will be invited to submit full applications that will be due on Wednesday, December 15, 2021.

Notification of Approval to Submit Application: Friday, November 19, 2021

Applications Due: Wednesday, December 15, 2021

Notification of Awards: Wed, Feb 2, 2022

Response to Critique Due: Fri, February 11, 2022 (If selected, applicant will need to submit response to review critique, with updated proposal.)

Grant Application Components Due: by Friday, April 1, 2022 (In addition, information is required by the NIA when the pilot grant is submitted for approval (April 15): copy of submitted IRB protocol; Data Safety and Monitoring Plan (DSMP); Human Subjects section; Certificates of Training completion; Identifier Number; and 2-page Summary + Specific Aims)

Project Start Date : July 1, 2022

Anticipated funding cycle : July 1, 2022 – June 30, 2023
