Biography

Dr. Siler is a graduate of the University of Tennessee College of Medicine and the UAB Emergency Medicine Residency. Following residency, he completed a fellowship focused on health administration at UAB while obtaining a Masters Degree in Health Administration. He is currently an Assistant Professor with the UAB Department of Emergency Medicine as well as a physician in the Hyperbaric Oxygen/Wound Care Clinic at UAB. He serves as one of the department's Assistant Physician Directors of Quality and Patient Safety. Dr. Siler also chairs the department's Resilience/Wellness Committee. Outside of the clinical practice of emergency medicine his interests include healthcare operations, physician leadership development, patient safety/quality, physician wellness, and resident/medical student education.
