InterSurgeon

InterSurgeon is an online social network built with a matching algorithm that was set up with UAB support in 2019 to connect surgeons, anesthesiologists, nurses, and NGOs worldwide to facilitate collaborations in global surgery. There are currently over 900 members and 45 NGOs from 107 countries, representing all surgical subspecialties, anesthesia, and nursing. Membership is free and all InterSurgeon members can download enterprise-level augmented reality software that can be used with smartphones, tablets, or smart glasses for real-time interactive video collaboration worldwide.
