As the chair of the department, I am proud to lead and support a team of talented and dedicated faculty, staff, and students who are passionate about understanding the fascinating world of microorganisms and their interactions with the human host. Our department's research focuses on various aspects of microbiology, including bacterial pathogenesis, host-pathogen interactions, immunology, virology, structural biology, Cancer, and bioinformatics.

Our research has significant implications for human health and disease, and we are committed to translating our findings into novel therapeutic strategies and interventions that can improve the quality of life for individuals and communities worldwide.
