Many days she is able to balance the work of 3 people, moving from room to room and putting the team on her back. She goes the extra mile every single day and has fun in the process! The ortho trauma team greatly appreciates her next-level expertise with the C-arm as it helps us best treat our patients. Taylor is a fantastic addition to our team!

Didi Phillips, RN-OR

Didi Phillips, RN-OR

Didi is a new but vital part of the Orthopedic CCCs. She has learned her new role well and excelled in making our clinic a stronger facility by asking questions and helping to provide higher quality care for our patients. Didi has constantly stepped up and covered a variety of clinics when asked and volunteered even outside of her Orthopedic specialty with Dr. Kafchinski.

She has never backed down from a challenge and has often asked how she can help others in anything they need. She is known for working hard daily and staying late when needed to make sure all our patients get the care they deserve when they come see us in clinic! These are the things she is well known for and we appreciate all you do!

We are very happy to have Didi on our team here at the Orthopedic clinic and look forward to all she will bring to excel our quality of care to not only the patients but our staff as well! Thank you Didi for all you do!

Tomeria Jones

Tomeria Jones

Today on my way into clinic, I overheard a patient becoming distressed about waiting for a wheelchair to get to their appointment. The patient was worried they would not be seen for their procedure if they were late, so they said that they would just try to walk there by themselves. I asked the patient to wait one moment and I went to look for a wheelchair. Tomeria not only helped me find a wheelchair, she insisted on wheeling the patient to their appointment herself. She is a great team player who always goes above and beyond for ALL patients.

"We as orthopedic residents spend a lot of hours at the hospital when on our trauma rotation and a majority of that is spent in the OR. Anytime Janet is in your room she is a bright, uplifting presence. Her enthusiasm, work ethic and care for her patients shines daily. She is a role model for these things as well as her appreciation for the work that we all do and the help we get to provide to our patients. She also cares for us residents and I hope she knows this does not go unnoticed and we are very appreciative of Janet and all that she teaches us and all that she does for us."

Kenneth Davis, LAT, ATC

Kenneth Davis, LAT, ATC

Kenny loves his job and loves everyone he works with. This shines through as he is the best patient advocate I've ever had the pleasure to work with. Every single patient I see postoperatively who he cares for always comments on how nice, caring, and easygoing he was. He always helps patient understand their conditions and treatment plans at the right level. His athletes who come to clinic praise his care and the parents all feel like they are in such good hands. On the sidelines, he may as be the team physician because his clinical accumen is on point and everyone trust his judgement. His athletes feel care for beyond the normal call of duty. In summary, Kenny goes well above and beyond in his care and love for patients on a consistent daily basis and absolutely deserves recognition for his herculean efforts.

Sarah Kasprow

Sarah Kasprow

Sarah recently joined our staff earlier this year and has been terrific on multiple levels. She often comes in early and stays after work to make sure that all patients are well taken care of and facilitate their care. She works often on the weekends and late evenings to call acute sports injury patients and set up imaging and bracing with them. Furthermore, she has served the role of a clinical coordinator along with setting up ultrasound, brace fitting, and surgery scheduling. In addition, she is not above rooming patients herself and checking them in when the waiting room gets filled or backed up. We need employees like Sarah who make our department great. Multiple residents and patients have commented on how amazing she is.

Christy is Dr. Siegel’s Patient Services Coordinator and is AMAZING at what she does. On top of adjusting to a global pandemic, she cares for the most vulnerable patients - cancer patients. She goes after it, day after day with all her heart. You never have to worry if she’s calling a patient back or responding to email messages. She is also a wife and mother of three boys (one of whom is a Senior in high school). Having someone like Christy is rare and she deserves to be recognized, even though she would say she’s "just doing her job".
