Drs. Meyer and RansomDepartment of Orthopaedic Surgery Associate Professor Richard Meyer, M.D., and Department of Orthopaedic Surgery Assistant Professor Erin Ransom, M.D., wrote Chapter 29 in Green's Operative Hand Surgery, eight edition.

As two hand surgery experts, Meyer and Ransom’s chapter was titled “Thoracic Outlet Compression Syndrome.” Ransom is pleased to have represented the department on this national stage.

“Alongside Dr. Meyer, it is an honor to be advancing the field of Thoracic Outlet Syndrome ,” said Ransom. “This is a wonderful textbook for all hand surgeons and trainees, and I hope that our chapter is illuminating for many.”

Widely recognized as the gold standard reference in the field, Green's Operative Hand Surgery, 8th Edition, provides complete coverage of the surgical and nonsurgical management of the full range of upper extremity conditions. In a clearly written and well-illustrated format, it contains both foundational content for residents and fellows as well as new approaches, case-based controversies, and outcomes-based solutions for practitioners.
