The UAB Department of Orthopaedic Surgery is pleased to welcome Jennifer Philpot back to the to the UAB Heersink School of Medicine as Senior Director of Development.

With a team of talented development officers, Philpot’s primary focus will be building comprehensive fundraising strategies and advancing philanthropy for the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery. She will be working with physicians to build a grateful patient program and to secure major and principal gifts that align with the department’s strategic priorities and initiatives.

Philpot has 22 years of experience in higher-education and medical development and is a graduate of the Executive Master in Health Administration program at UAB. She has held positions at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Vanderbilt University, UAB School of Medicine, and most recently at St. Vincent’s Foundation where she was responsible for managing fundraising operations for Ascension St. Vincent’s Health System’s five hospitals and ambulatory care network.

The department looks forward to the value that Philpot will create and bring to the entire UAB School of Medicine.
