Siegel joined the UAB faculty in 2002 and since has developed one of the busiest and national renowned joint replacement and oncology practices in the Southeast.

His clinical and research interests center on the treatment of musculoskeletal oncologic, metabolic, and arthritic disorders. Specifically, his clinical focus is on improving techniques for limb salvage procedures in pediatric and adult patients.

According to ISOLS, the objective of the organization is to promote research, education and clinical practice related to musculoskeletal tumors and its foremost purpose is to improve patient care related to limb salvage interventions.

According to ISOLS, this meeting will contain presentations from attendees on basic science, clinical trials, and translational projects dealing with limb salvage. Plenary lectures, crossfire sessions, symposia, roundtable discussions, and debates will focus on the most current and controversial topics in musculoskeletal oncology.

Siegel is grateful to have the opportunity to attend this well-respected meeting.

“I am extremely thankful to be an invited faculty to the ISOLS meeting,” Siegel said. “I am looking forward to meeting and viewing research from elite orthopaedic surgeons.”
