Biography

Luis O. Vasconez, M.D., established the Division of Plastic Surgery at UAB in 1985. He was chief of the division since its inception until 2010. He is nationally and internationally recognized for his contributions in reconstructive and breast surgery with muscle and musculo-cutaneou flaps as well as in aesthetic surgery with endoscopy and facial rejuvenation.
