Now a finalist in The American Pops Orchestra “NextGen National: Finding the Voices of Tomorrow” competition, UAB musical theater major Jalen Kirkman performed the jazz standard “Guess Who I Saw Today.”
The competition is an official preliminary to the Miss Alabama and Miss America competitions. Johnson, captain of the UAB Blazerettes, also won the Spirit Award.
