Arushi Kotru, a spring 2023 UAB graduate, will have the opportunity to spend the summer in India learning Hindi as a recipient of the prestigious Critical Language Scholarship.

Six University of Alabama at Birmingham students have been awarded NASA Alabama Space Grant Consortium scholarships.

Dating since October of 2021, UAB juniors Burnett and Criswell placed first in their respective research categories at the 100th annual Alabama Academy of Science Conference.

The list was made by a group that aspires to bolster and increase diversity across all scientific fields, promote retention through the “leaky academic pipeline,” and broaden academic and industrial awareness of diversity and inclusion.

The partnership will provide scholarships and a reverse transfer agreement with Jefferson State to help deserving Alabama students realize their fullest potential.
