In 2024, more than 6,400 employees activated their My Health Rewards account — 1,200 more activations than in 2023. Of those, 3,935 participants logged enough healthy behaviors last year to receive a payout of $50 or more. That trend has continued since the 2025 program launched earlier this year.

Completing mental health training is a great way for staff, faculty and students at UAB and UAB Medicine to share a culture of care and thriving. The UAB Enterprise Mental Health Advocate Program, recently introduced a new learning track to its lineup.

UAB kicks off its annual Summer of Wellness initiative June 1. This year, employees can get free access to the Campus Recreation Center throughout the entire month. Online registration is required to access the facility, as well as access to additional health and wellness opportunities including rewards for checking in throughout the month.
