What’s left of the old 5B parking lot on 14th Street and University Boulevard is now parking Lot 15B — a commuter- and student-permit lot with 99 parking spaces.

Kimberley Fort, director of Parking and Transportation Services, says the update on the lot by the new Academic Building was finished Aug. 7.

“We’re also in the process of converting some of the parking spaces to public metered spaces for people who are using the Campus Recreation Center or going to eat at the Commons on the Green,” Fort says.

“Eighteen spaces will be converted on the eastern side of Lot 15B, making it very convenient for faculty, staff or students to access both of those new campus destinations.”

Fort also says the new 16th Street Deck is available for commuter and resident parking. No gate card is necessary to access that lot. There are entrances on 16th and 17th streets, and there is a ground-level entrance on 10th Avenue.
