The University of Alabama System Board of Trustees appointed three emeritus professors during its June 18 meeting. They include Cecilia Pierce, Ed.D., associate professor emeritus; James R. Ward, Ph.D., professor emeritus; and Associate Dean John Bernard Thornton, D.M.D., professor and associate dean emeritus in the School of Dentistry.
