1. Are you required to manage your study in OnCore?
- OnCore Use Requirements Decision Tree
- Study Management in OnCore by the study team is required for the following:
Industry-sponsored clinical trials
Studies with UAB Health System clinical billable services
Studies with certain CCTS services
2. Is your study cancer-related or does it involve cancer patients?- If so, it is required to go through PRMC approval via the O’Neal Comprehensive Cancer Center (OCCC). The OCCC has additional requirements for OnCore use. Contact Denise McKenzie (

3. Does your study not require study team management in OnCore, but still need CReSt, SPAN or Biospecimen Management services from the CCTS?
- Complete the CBR-OCS-CCTS Submission Form to request CCTS clinical services.
Note - Investigators may choose to enter studies in OnCore that do not meet these criteria.

How do I get my study in OnCore?
- Complete the CBR-OCS-CCTS Submission Form to request study entry in OnCore.
- First time using the CBR-CCTS-OCS form?
Use the checklist to help gather required information (enter your uab.edu email/blazerid to access) - Need pricing/coding from CBR for feasibility (not ready to begin the startup process)?
Complete the CBR Feasibility Request.
Then complete the Submission Form when you are ready to move forward. - Unsure which CCTS services you need?

Visit the CCTS website to view short videos describing each CCTS area, or to view pricing information (enter your uab.edu email/blazerid to access).
