Strengthening research at UAB is more important than ever. Our Research Strategic Initiative serves as our blueprint for resilience focused on protecting and sustaining our research enterprise through key strategic investments and greater efficiencies.
From the beginning, faculty and staff made it clear: our initiative should prioritize building a strong, supportive infrastructure. Today, more than 100 members of the UAB community — by participating in this initiative — are actively advancing this vision, streamlining operations, and reinforcing support for our researchers.
Working Groups Progress
This vision is being brought to life through the work of six dedicated working groups. Comprising more than 100 faculty and staff, these groups have each developed and finalized their Annual Work Plans and are now actively implementing them. Their efforts are already driving meaningful improvements across the research enterprise.
