As a PA faculty member, his primary role has been to teach our students a variety of procedural skills, operating room techniques and ultrasound, as well as lecturing mainly on the cardiac, pulmonary, GI and renal organ systems. He still practices clinically as a physician assistant in critical care (ICU) medicine with an Intensivist group at several of the Brookwood Baptist hospitals.

Fun Fact: Wood enjoys many outdoor activities, such as hiking and backcountry camping. He has hiked/climbed several volcanoes in Guatemala and Nicaragua, Half Dome in Yosemite, several peaks in the Swiss Alps and many trails throughout National Parks such as Glacier, Yellowstone, Grand Teton, Zion and Acadia.
