L. R. (Rush) Jordan Endowed Chair in Health Services Administration
Based upon the undying devotion of a host of coworkers, employees, students and faculty, Mr. Jordan enabled UAB to form the L. This was the first endowed chair at UAB outside the Schools of Medicine and Dentistry and was one of the first in the country named for a practicing health care executive.
L. R. (Rush) Jordan Endowed Lectureship in Health Services Administration
Following a long and distinguished career as a health care leader, Rush Jordan spent 15 years with the Department of Health Services Administration mentoring students by helping them secure residencies throughout the country. Upon retirement in 2002, this endowed lectureship was established to sustain his legacy of integrating health care practitioners into the classroom.
Van Zile Scott Endowed Lecture

He was board certified in urology and was a member of a number of professional associations, including being named a Fellow in the American College of Surgeons and a Fellow in the American Academy of Pediatrics.
