Students in the M.S. in Applied Nutrition program complete 30 credit hours or graduate coursework, including 10 credit hours of internship requirements.
The M.S. in Applied Nutrition curriculum is taught completely online to allow flexibility and convenience for students who reside outside of Birmingham and for integration of internship requirements. Though the curriculum is entirely online, internship requirements are completed in-person with facilities that meet internship requirements.
The MS in Applied Nutrition program, including internship requirements, can be completed wherever you are located. Students do not have to relocate to Birmingham to complete the program.
While all of the coursework is online, there will be some “face-to-face” requirements utilizing Zoom. These meetings will be a minimum of two days per week at a specific time. Students will know well in advance the face-to-face requirements.

Graduation Requirements
Students are required to maintain a 3.0 GPA to maintain good Academic Standing .
The maximum time allowed for completion of the M.S. in Applied Nutrition program is three years.
