If you're 18-50 years old, BMI 20-35kg/m2, have access to a smartphone capable of digital photography, do not have Type 1 or Type 2 diabetes, you may qualify to take part in this study investigating how consumption of certain herbs and spices may influence glucose levels after a meal.

About the Herbs and Spices Study

Researchers at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) are conducting a study to investigate how consumption of certain herbs and spices may influence glucose levels after a meal. Participation involves 2 visits, consuming a food item daily for up to 10 days, wearing a continuous glucose monitor, and answering brief questionnaires.

Eligibility

  • 18–50 years old
  • BMI 20-35 kg/m2
  • Access to a smartphone capable of digital photography
  • Do not have Type 1 or Type 2 diabetes

Reimbursement

Participants will receive $50 for study completion.
