At the UAB School of Public Health, we aspire to fulfill the great promise of the discipline of public health: to protect and improve the health, safety, and well-being of all. We accomplish this through our cutting-edge research, our ongoing engagement in public health practice, and most importantly through our commitment to training the next generation of public health professionals.
Fall information sessions are a great time to dive deeper into the admissions requirements, curriculum, student organizations, faculty, and most importantly, the careers available after completing a degree in public health. Our graduates go on to work in their communities, in healthcare settings, or for agencies like the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention or the World Health Organization — anywhere broad knowledge of the biological, environmental, social, and behavioral influences on health is needed.
During these virtual information sessions, prospective students will speak directly with the School of Public Health’s admissions team and are invited to bring questions. Register for any of the department-specific information sessions listed below, and if you’re not quite sure which concentration you’d like to study, the General Graduate Information Session is a great place to start. We hope to see you this fall.
