Accommodations are determined on a case by case basis and are provided based on functional limitations of the documented disability.
The goal of accommodations are to give the student with a disability equal access to the learning environment. Individualized accommodations are not designed to give the student an advantage over other students, to alter a fundamental aspect of the course, nor to weaken academic rigor.
Common accommodations include:
- Reduced distraction testing
- Extended time on exams
- Notetaking services
- Assistive technology
- Captionists/Interpreters
