The USGA Division of Finance offers students an abundance of resources to ensure that their student experience at UAB is enhanced to its fullest. Regardless of your background, the USGA wants to support you in every way we can. Currently, the Division of Finance has three ongoing programs it supports directly/indirectly to ensure student success:
USGA Travel Grants
The USGA Travel Grants allot up to $300 to students for valuable experiences in research or education. While the USGA allots $300 dollars, depending on the circumstances of use, students can obtain additional funds from the Office of Service Learning and Undergraduate Research, which will match the funds that the USGA allots.
Prep Book Program
The Prep Book Program, established in 2025, is a partnership with Sterne Library, meant to provide students with professional assistance with their exams by offering a free repository of prep books for the LSAT, GRE, MCAT, and more! We encourage students of all backgrounds to take advantage of this resource on campus.
Textbook Award
The Textbook Award was a program established in 2020, meant to alleviate the stress of students with financial need. The Textbook Award is a valued partnership with the UAB Bookstore and the greater Division that USGA operates under, the Division of Student Affairs.
