Jamy Reports New Standard for Preventing GVHD

In a NEJM report on a phase III trial, Omer Jamy, M.D., (Assistant Professor, Hematology and Oncology) and colleagues have shown that a cyclophospamide cocktail is more effective in preventing graft-versus-host disease in bone marrow transplantation than the standard treatment.

Paschal Collaborates for HHT Center of Excellence Designation

Rita Paschal, M.D., (Associate Professor, Hematology and Oncology) and colleagues across the Heersink School of Medicine have banded together to become a Center Excellence in Hereditary Hemorrhagic Telangiectasia (HHT).

Walker Named New Co-Clerkship Director for DOM

Jeremey Walker, M.D., (Assistant Professor, ID) will serve as the new co-clerkship director for the department. In this role, he will work with Win Williams, M.D. (Assoc. Prof, GIM) to provide hands-on clinical rotations to third- and fourth-year medical students.

DOM Task Force for Wellness Shares Results of 2022 Survey

The DOM Task Force for Wellness has released the results of its 2022 wellness survey. The report reveals 33 areas of concern throughout the Department and proposes high priority initiatives to help improve wellness in the DOM.
