Quantitative Tolerance Criteria for SIMon: Cell Death and DysfunctionBarclay Morrison, III, Columbia University |

The objective of this research effort is to produce direct experimental data that will provide additional tolerance criteria for viable, in vitro brain tissue. These new data should complement ongoing efforts to examine the cellular damage criteria for cells of the brain, and should significantly extend estimates of the structural tissue failure that have been estimated from human cadaveric work. Therefore, this project has enormous potential to serve as an important bridge between ongoing activities of the SCIB at two of the participating research centers: Georgia Tech and Wayne State University.
