UAB Office of Service Learning

UAB Service Learning connects UAB students, faculty, and community nonprofit partners together to enrich student academic learning, promote civic engagement and to strengthen and support our local and global communities. The office is eager to help you find the ideal opportunity, whether it is through a service learning course or on your own. Learn how they can help you find service and volunteer opportunities (local and international) on their website.

Volunteering with UAB Medicine

UAB Hospital has wonderful volunteer opportunities for students, especially those interested in health careers. By volunteering, you will be a very important part of the success of the hospital and you will also be making a huge difference in the life of another. The Healing Words program is especially popular with students in UAB's Pre-Health program, but students are placed in departments all over the hospital, too.
