My name is Doha Mostafa. I received my B.Sc. in Biotechnology from Misr University for Science and Technology (MUST) in Egypt. I am currently a Ph.D. student in the Department of Biology at UAB, working in the laboratory of Dr. Nicole Riddle. My previous research in genome editing and gene regulation led to a strong interest in the mechanisms by which epigenetic systems control gene expression, with a particular focus on chromatin biology, the HP1 protein family, and epigenetic regulation.
