Research Interests

My primary research interest is the investigation of protective and risk factors among chronically ill and older adult populations. I have been particularly interested in understanding how factors related to resilience, such as religiosity and spirituality, can serve as a protective factor from HIV-related and mental health outcomes. By examining health outcomes and religiosity and spirituality among older adult and chronically ill populations, I plan to contribute to literature focused on the positive impact of resilience on health outcomes in different health and aging populations.
