Slack channel
- Join our dedicated UAB Data Science Slack channel to get support and community and access shared content including papers and methods of interest, computational biology and data science discussion, and other information of interest to computational sciences.

Data Science Drop In
- Join us in our weekly data science drop ins (every Thursday at 1:30-2:00pm – extending to 2:30 based on demand each week). You can bring questions and requests and get hands on support from a diverse group of biomedical data scientists, computational biologists and software developers. The Zoom registration link can be found in the "#datascience" channel of the Slack group referenced above (or feel free to ask us directly there).
Journal club
- In the future, we will offer a monthly journal club featuring computational biologist/data scientist publications with a focus on application of these methods in a biomedical research setting.
Hosted speakers
- In the future, we will schedule a monthly computational biologist/data scientist presentation. These scientists will discuss their research, tools, methods, and findings.
