A strong educational foundation, built early, is crucial for students’ future success. UAB’s Early Childhood and Elementary Education programs teach educators to recognize and meet the evolving needs of P-6 students in their earliest exposure to education. A curriculum of blended online and traditional courses, fully online courses, flexible summer and Saturday classes, and learning communities and practicums can lead to an M.A.Ed with Class A certification, an Ed.S. with Class AA certification, or a Ph.D. in Early Childhood or Elementary Education.

Which Teacher Education Program is right for you?

Teacher certifications are issued at a few different levels and correspond to specific degree options here at UAB. Learn more about these certification levels and find out which degree program is right for you.
