UAB Secondary Education Program will provide you with the coursework and experience you will need to become a highly qualified teacher within one of the following content areas: science, social studies, mathematics, or English language arts. You will receive instruction from our nationally renowned instructors who will teach you the critical skills, competencies, and state-of-the-art instructional strategies for meeting the evolving needs of young learners in the 21st century. In addition to your coursework, you will participate in internships and practicums for hands-on experience.

If you cannot attend during traditional class hours, we have Saturday and summer courses as well as some online courses. We also have courses that combine on-campus classes with online instruction.
