For the investigation of genome-wide methylation signature, both array-based approaches (human only) and Next Generation sequencing methods are available.

The core can run the Human EPIC Methylation bead chip from Illumina, which contains approximately 850,000 CpG sites within the human genome. 

Sequencing based approaches include Reduced Representational Bisulfite Sequencing (RRBS), Agilent based capture probes directed against CpG islands, shoals and shores for human and mouse studies.

The core can produce sequencing libraries from ChIP’d DNA, for example using an antibody directed against the 5mC or and antibody directed against Methyl DNA Binding Protein.
