This page is geared toward staff members who are interested in learning how to administer HIV testing in the absence of our regular HIV Testing Team members (like while we operate under a Limited Business Model due to COVID-19). 

Below you will find links to various resources related to administering the INSTI HIV 1/2 Antibody Test. Thank you so much for being willng to learn and provide this service to patient partners and other individuals during this time.

Online INSTI Test administration training from Biolytical. This course will take you through the basics of INSTI test administration and generate a certificate of training completion. Please download or screenshot your certificate and send it to kachinakudroff@uabmc.edu so that the Testing Team has documentation of your training.

his slide deck was created by members of our Testing Team for use during HIV Testing and Couseling Trainings. It contains much of the same information as provided in the online training course but may be a helpful supplement for those who want downloadable resources.

Consent and Testing Form. This slide deck describes the process for consenting clients to administer the HIV test, collect relevant demographic information, assess for test history, and provide test results, including follow-up dependent upon result.
