Biography

Dr. Andrew Fortugno did his Bachelor of Arts with a distinction in Biology at University of Virginia. He completed medical school at the University of Tennessee in 2020. He did his residency at University of Alabama Heersink School of Medicine and was the Chief Resident from 2023 to 2024. Staying at UAB, he then completed his Dermatopathology fellowship before becoming an Assistant Professor for the Department of Dermatology in 2025. 

Outside of clinic, he enjoys long runs and hikes with his wife, Hali, as well as spending time with their three cats, Charli, Loui, and Teddi.
