Biography 

Dr. Smith completed her dermatology residency at the University of Alabama at Birmingham in 2024, and she is a native of Birmingham, AL. As a senior resident, Dr. Smith was given the Walter P. Little Award which is given annually to one resident who demonstrates exceptional dedication to both patient care and the well-being of their colleagues. 

In the fall, Dr. Smith joined the faculty at the University of Alabama at Birmingham as the Director of Pediatric Dermatology after completing a pediatric dermatology fellowship at Emory University in Atlanta, GA. Dr. Smith's clinical interests include vascular malformations, inflammatory skin disorders, and adolescent dermatology, particularly the transition from pediatric to adult care. 

She lives in Vestavia with her son, James, where she is active in her church community. She also enjoys gardening and listening to podcasts in her spare time.
