Goals

Our COVID-19-related research seeks to develop effective, research-based, community-engaged strategies to enhance education, address misinformation, improve access, and increase vaccinations and participation in clinical trials. Specific goals of the COVID-19 research program include 1) conducting research to understand and address misinformation, distrust, and skepticism of COVID-19 information and guidelines, 2) evaluate strategies to communicate reliable, trusted COVID-19 information, and 3) understand barriers and facilitators to COVID-19 testing, vaccinations, and clinical trials and develop interventions to address them.

Current Projects

Current studies include the Alabama Community Engagement Alliance against COVID-19 (Alabama CEAL) and Rapid Acceleration of Diagnostics – Underserved Populations Community Mobile Testing Study (RADx-UP Community Mobile Testing).
